WE’VE GOT EVERYTHING” brings together ten artists from the South East and surrounding area in an exciting exhibition of contemporary art. Responding to their occupation of an empty commercial unit and to their own areas of investigation, the artists explore ideas around communication, technology, consumerism, and the “post-” world in which we live or may come to live, through the mediums of sculpture, painting, drawing, film, photography and sound.

I enter the marketplace. Rain falls in curtains from the lips of tarpaulin roofs.  Breathe. Cigarette butts; brands printed in the mud from stamping outsoles. He is talking to his neighbour, drinking coffee from a polystyrene cup. Shaking.

My legs collapse, I fall into the wet timber fence. Breathe. The alleyway is long and brown puddles have gathered in the ruptured concrete floor. I rip off the tag and pull the gloves over my hands. Shaking. God Bless this day.
